Advanced Body MRI Course
Omaha Hilton, Omaha, NE, USA
25-27 June 2010

Outstanding speakers from the USA and Canada!

The Advanced Body MRI course is designed to address the rapid rate of technical developments in the field of MRI. These developments include the introduction of 3.0T, the increasing number of coil elements for dedicated body phased-array coils, improvements in parallel imaging capability, and the increment in computer power with parallel processors. These technical developments directly affect the way we perform body MRI. The ISMRM Body MRI Course speakers will facilitate an understanding and provide updated technical developments that relate to state-of-the-art body MRI in daily clinical practice. The course will teach attendees how to effectively apply new technical developments into clinical body MRI.

This course will use case-based and interactive sessions with audience response system.

The audience for this course will include clinicians, radiologists and MR technologists. It is designed to benefit both those new to the field and more experienced practitioners.

At the conclusion of this course, attendees should be able to:
• Describe and apply new MRI technologies, including high field imaging, parallel imaging, and contrast media;
• Identify and explain the most important safely issues in application of MRI equipment and MR contrast media;
• Describe indications for, and implement new MRI procedures and techniques in diagnosis, treatment and assessment of conditions of the liver, pancreas, biliary tree, kidneys, adrenal glands, prostate, anorectum, and women’s diseases (female pelvis and breast).
• Effectively manage the technical challenges associated with application of MRI technologies for body imaging; and
• Describe the potential applications of new technologies in body imaging, including areas such as diffusion and perfusion MRI, and MR spectroscopy.
