PROGRAM

Educational Objectives:
Upon completion of this workshop, participants should be able to:
  • Identify the MR correlates of the various pathological substrates of MS;
  • Apply and interpret structural and functional MR-based techniques to study the characteristics and evolution of MS-related damage;
  • Describe the "state of the art" knowledge as regards the relationship between inflammation and neurodegeneration in MS;
  • Diagnose MS vs. other demyelinating diseases by combining clinical, laboratory, and MR-derived information;
  • Design appropriate MR protocols to help in the differential diagnosis of MS vs. other demyelinating diseases.
