Updated 29 June 2010

As of August 1, 2010, the Student Scope page will be temporarily closed as we work on a new, updated format. All submissions prior to August 1st will be scored and returned for revisions and resubmission. The new site will be available mid-September 2010 with a new format, process, and name for the award. Stay tuned!

MRI Students, we would really like to interest you in publishing an MRI related topic! The SMRT has made the process extremely easy to follow. We've made a template to guide you on your publication. The format is very organized and can help shape your data into an informative publication. There is a review process after submission of your completed template that will be carried out by selected members of the education committee. The guidelines and template can be found below. The SMRT is very interested in student participation. So if you have an interesting case study or want to report on a clinical or research technique that you find interesting, please do!  If you have any questions or need more information about submitting to Student Scope, please contact the 2007-2008 Student Scope and Education Committee Chair, Sonja Robb Belville, srobbbe@emory.edu

·         Student Scope abstracts are submitted by students from a variety of MR Educational Programs. Additional authors may include fellow students, colleagues and instructors. Prior to submission, your abstract should be reviewed by an instructor or colleague.

·         Abstracts are submitted to the ISMRM office electronically.  Electronic submission is strongly encouraged. Whenever possible, images should be forwarded in jpeg format. All Patient identification must be omitted.

·         Abstracts are reviewed by the Student Scope Committee, a subcommittee of the Education Committee. Abstracts are reviewed for content, clarity, and academic/scientific merit.  The abstracts will be reviewed once a month.  Submissions received at the beginning of a calendar month will be reviewed in that month. Submissions received after the fifteen of the month will be reviewed the following month.

·         Students will be notified of acceptance of the Student Scope submission via e-mail or fax.  Accepted abstracts will be posted on this Web site.

·         Abstracts requiring revisions will be due for resubmission a month after notification of revisions required.
