Innovation in MRI Education Award
How we can revolutionize education!

Education is a cornerstone of the ISMRM facilitated by educational talks at the annual meetings, workshops, and on-site encounters between junior researchers and established MRI leaders. In recent years, we have witnessed a worldwide shift towards online educational content, fueled by a strong drive towards inclusivity and sustainability, and facilitated by the vast—and ever-increasing—technical possibilities, for in the digital world, anything is possible and only limited by the user’s imagination! However, as an MR community, have we really taken advantage of these new virtual possibilities? How can we take MRI education to the next level and ultimately become the one (and only) place to go when it comes to education in MRI?

This year, the Education Committee of the ISMRM—together with the AMPC—has launched the new Award for Innovation in MRI Education. The goal of this award is to stimulate our members to think about how they get their educational message across and challenge you to try out new methods that could lift your educational presentations to unseen-before heights. From a shortlist of speakers in educational sessions or member-initiated sessions/tutorials, one winner and 2 runners-up have been selected who will receive eternal fame both during this session as well as on the MR Academy website! https://www.ismrm.org/online-education-program/.

For this challenging selection task, the Education Committee has called upon the help of Lyndon Nicholson, a professional expert presenter with 20 years of experience in the field of presentation design and public speaking. After building two successful presentation design agencies, he is now CEO of Future Present, a presentation design agency in the UK that “helps businesses wow audiences, win, sell, grow and prosper.” Before handing out the award, Lyndon will discuss with us how we can make the audience listen to us to get across our message.
