EDI Forum: Axes of Inclusion: Strategies for Including Magnetic Talent
Other
Monday, 09 May 2022
ICC Capital Suite 2-3
07:00 -  09:00
Session Number: EDI

Moderators: Nikou Louise Damestani, David Carmichael and Hamied Haroon

Online registrants can watch via the virtual Resonarium "Livestreams" room.

This EDI forum aims to foster and encourage open conversation around member experiences from around the world, focusing on the three following axes of inclusion giving examples of critical points where they form a barrier to participation in our community.

x-axis: Privilege.
y-axis: Disability and neurodiversity.
z-axis: Geography and lower income countries.

We will have three main sections, during which our speakers will pitch initiatives and experiences on the above topics and their relationship with including and retaining talent in the research pipeline. We will then open the floor for comments after each pitch. After the pitches, we will open the floor for additional questions for our panel of speakers.

To ensure we obtain action points, we will then facilitate an open discussion over coffee and pastries during which the attendees will be able to meet the panellists to discuss further and leave post-it notes with their thoughts on the session and what they would like to see at ISMRM next year.

To guide our discussion, please fill out the following Padlet: https://padlet.com/dwcarmichael1/euglimndbsj10t31

For online attendees, we will also be online on gather.town and we will update when this is finalised.
