Overview
The grant-writing session in 2021 was well-received, and in 2022, there was a session on planning diverse clinical trials. Building on these sessions, 2023 will have a session on how to successfully manage and lead scientific projects.



Target Audience
All researchers (PIs, post-doctoral fellows) interested in learning how to successfully manage grants and all the challenges associated.

Educational Objectives
As a result of attending this course, participants should be able to:
- Manage scientific projects to achieve goals on time; and
- Assemble the team and create the environment to succeed.

The overall goal of this talk will be to provide a more complete perspective on the administrative concerns and strategies for ensuring grant aims are accomplished rigorously, and just as importantly, that these accomplishments are leveraged appropriately for ongoing success.

“The only constant in life is change” - Heraclitus of Ephesus.  In the course of your grant-funded research you will constantly need to pivot.  This talk describes some causes, and some metrics for when to pivot and how pivots might integrate with a funding mechanism.
