Overview
Pulse sequences and imaging techniques often evolve beyond their initial descriptions in the literature, adding refinements over time that are key to practical implementation. Each hour of this sunrise session presents a deep-dive tutorial into a specific technique from start to finish, highlighting the details that make each technique really work in practice.

Target Audience
Physicists, engineers, and clinicians looking to implement their own sequences or gain a more comprehensive understanding of how various MRI acquisitions work under the hood.

Educational Objectives
As a result of attending this course, participants should be able to:
- Identify the key components in a modern EPI acquisition and its corrections;
- Describe the characteristics of an MR fingerprinting acquisition and inference scheme;
- Explain the workings of a TSE/FSE/RARE acquisition and its various refinements; and
- Summarize the methods for ASL acquisitions and associated physiological modelling.

07:00   MR Fingerprinting: Acquisition Nicole Seiberlich
07:30   MR Fingerprinting: Inference Debra McGivney

Keywords: Image acquisition: MR Fingerprinting

This talk will provide an overview on the inference aspect of magnetic resonance fingerprinting, including image reconstruction and tissue property mapping, voxel analysis and interpretation of quantitative maps. Challenges and confounding factors in this pipeline will also be addressed, including optimization, mitigating artifacts, and dictionary matching.
