There are 11 standing committees of the SMRT each
chaired by a member of the Policy Board, who is
elected by the membership.
There are 100 SMRT volunteers who serve on the
committees along with the chair. Some individuals
serve on more than one committee but imagine the
FTEs expended during the year for YOUR benefit.
Serving on a committee is a great way to get
involved and increase your professionalism in the MR
community.

| It’s not
too late to make your plans to join us in
Salt Lake
City, Utah, USA for the 22nd SMRT Annual Meeting.
The Education Committee is reviewing submitted
abstracts and is once again impressed with the work
of the Radiographers and MR Technologists from
around the world. The weekend will begin with the
traditional Poster Tour and Reception Friday evening
and then a packed dynamic educational program is
planned for the two day meeting. Saturday evening
the SMRT will hold a catered reception for all SMRT
meeting attendees. Social events are a welcome break
and allow time for communicating face to face with
colleagues and friends new and old. Hope to see YOU
in Salt Lake.
