2026 ISMRM Annual Meeting
Stipend Programs

Online application is required for all stipends.

Deadline for Abstract Submission, Stipend Application & 2026 Membership/Dues:

The ISMRM is proud to offer these stipend programs for the upcoming 2026 ISMRM & ISMRT Annual Meeting & Exhibition. Please review each of the following stipend programs carefully before deciding which to pursue.

Important Notes:

  • Each program has a unique set of rules and eligibility requirements that must be met to be considered for a stipend award.
  • Applicants may only apply to one program per year. If an applicant applies for more than one program in a single year, all of that applicant’s applications will be disqualified.
  • Online application is required. Online applications are submitted through the abstract submission site.
  • ISMRM membership is required to apply for a stipend under the Educational and Clinical stipend programs, and required to receive a stipend under the E.K. Zavoisky program.
    • 2026 membership applications and dues payment options will be available starting 01 October 2025.
    • 2026 stipend application deadline is 29 October 2025.

IMPORTANT!

2026 membership is required for all stipends.

Clinical and Educational stipend applicants MUST join or pay 2026 dues by 29 October 2025 at 23:59 UTC. Failure to do so will result in your stipend application being denied. E. K. Zavoisky stipend applicants do not need to join to apply for that stipend, but must become a member if their abstract is accepted.

2026 new member applications and dues payment options will be available beginning 01 October 2025. Please contact membership@ismrm.org if you have any questions.

Clinical Stipend

This program offers support for the attendance of junior clinical faculty to present abstracts at the 2026 ISMRM Annual Meeting & Exhibition. Those applicants who are first authors on the abstract will be given priority.

2026 ISMRM membership is required by the deadline at the top of this page. If you are not a member, you will need to complete the membership application process on or before that deadline to be considered for the stipend. Current members will need to pay their 2026 membership dues by the same deadline.

Note: If you have received three prior stipends in the New Entrant, Clinical and/or Educational Stipend categories combined, you are not eligible to apply for this stipend.

Educational Stipend

for Students, Postdoctoral Trainees & Clinical Trainees

This program offers support for the attendance of students, postdoctoral and clinical trainees to present abstracts at the 2026 ISMRM Annual Meeting & Exhibition. Those applicants who are first authors on the abstract will be given priority.

2026 ISMRM membership is required by the deadline at the top of this page. If you are not a member, you will need to complete the membership application process on or before that deadline to be considered for an educational stipend. Current members will need to pay their 2026 membership dues by the same deadline.

Note: If you have received three prior stipends in the New Entrant, Clinical and/or Educational Stipend categories combined, you are not eligible to apply for this stipend.

E. K. Zavoisky Stipend

This program offers support for the attendance of scientists and clinicians who reside in financially restricted countries and who have limited personal income to attend the 2026 ISMRM Annual Meeting & Exhibition. The program is named in honor of E.K. Zavoisky, pioneer in MR research from the former USSR. Those applicants who are first authors on a submitted abstract will be given priority. If an applicant has received more than two (2) E. K. Zavoisky stipends to date, the applicant should be the senior or first author of an accepted abstract to receive any further Zavoisky awards.

2026 ISMRM membership is not required to apply, but applicants whose abstracts are accepted must become members to be able to receive their stipend. Acceptance notifications will be sent to first authors by early February.
