A Welcome Reception Just for Newbies!

Wear your blue #1 ribbon with pride! Your first experience will be joining your new friends and colleagues at the Newbie Reception on Saturday, 09 May from 17:15 – 19:00 SAST.

First, hear a short 15-minute introduction where you’ll meet ISMRM President Mark Griswold, Ph.D., and learn a little more about navigating the annual meeting. Then, join us for a beverage, some tasty bites, and a chat with ISMRM leadership, legends, and experts at the various discipline tables. Mix and mingle with your colleagues and future collaborators!

This year, the scientific program begins on Sunday, 10 May, with a brand-new experience: Study Group Day. We’re dedicating the day to extended Study Group sessions designed to help you meet your people early, align on what to prioritize during the week, and keep the momentum going together.

If you currently don’t belong to a Study Group, you are still welcome. This is a nice opportunity to see if you would like to join a Study Group. You have an open invitation to visit Study Groups that you are interested in joining (this is included with your meeting registration). Please stop in and see what the Study Groups are all about. Don’t miss this!

Official Opening Reception – Sunday, 10 May: 18:45, Exhibition Hall

The Opening Reception on Sunday is your first opportunity to see the exhibition floor, traditional and digital posters, and thousands of your colleagues in one area. Come socialize, have a snack, and get a sneak peek in the Power Pitch Theatres where our famous Power Pitches are held throughout the week.

Case-Based Sessions – Check the Program-at-a-Glance for room location dates and times; Sign-up required for these sessions.

Part of the ISMRM Ubuntu spirit is the collaboration among technologists, scientists, radiologists, and other physicians. Join us for Case-Based Sessions that simulate the reading room experience. Radiologists will offer small group teaching sessions at a workstation to explain how they assess images from the clinical perspective.
