Call for 2027 MiniHub Proposals
Deadline for Proposals:
ISMRM invites applications to host a local MiniHub for the 2027 Annual Meeting in Vancouver, BC, Canada.
MiniHubs provide an opportunity for people who cannot attend the Annual Meeting on site to gather locally, view Annual Meeting content, and take part in scientific discussion and networking.
What is a MiniHub?
A MiniHub is a locally organized gathering focused on viewing and discussing content from the Annual Meeting, including educational sessions, scientific sessions, and plenaries.
MiniHubs may not develop a separate scientific program. Accepted abstracts must still be presented at the main Annual Meeting in Vancouver; participation in a MiniHub does not fulfill this requirement.
Continuing Education Credits Not Available
Continuing education credits are not available for participation in any 2027 ISMRM & ISMRT MiniHub.
Who Can Apply?
The lead organizer must be a current ISMRM member in good standing. Applications should identify:
- The local organizing committee
- The proposed location, venue, dates, and expected attendance
- The community the MiniHub will serve
- Plans to recruit participants
- Arrangements for reliable internet access, audiovisual equipment, and local technical support
Local academic or institutional facilities are encouraged to help keep costs low.
Registration and Financial Support
All attendees must register individually through ISMRM at the applicable virtual meeting rate and select their approved MiniHub location.
Approved MiniHubs will receive a contribution equal to 25% of the virtual meeting registration fees paid by attendees registered for their MiniHub.
An initial payment will be made one month before the Annual Meeting, based on paid registrations at that time. The remaining balance will be paid within 30 days after the Annual Meeting, following confirmation of final registrations and attendance and deduction of the initial payment.
Organizers are responsible for managing local costs within this contribution and any approved external funding. Additional funding from ISMRM will not be provided. External sponsorship must be coordinated with and approved by Central Office.
Local Organizer Responsibilities
Local organizers will be responsible for:
- Securing a suitable venue and arranging internet access and audiovisual equipment
- Organizing local viewing and discussion of Annual Meeting content
- Recruiting participants and communicating local arrangements
- Arranging refreshments or social activities, if offered
- Confirming attendance promptly after the MiniHub to support final payment
- Ensuring that the MiniHub follows the ISMRM and ISMRT Code of Conduct
ISMRM Support
ISMRM will coordinate registration, provide organizer guidance, and promote approved MiniHubs through One Community Hub, newsletters, and relevant meeting communications. Central Office support will be limited; local organizers are responsible for delivering their MiniHub.
Application and Selection
Complete the application form below. Applications will be reviewed by Central Office and Society leadership, considering local need, accessibility, expected participation, and the organizers’ ability to host.
ISMRM reserves the right to limit the number of approved MiniHubs.
