As I reflect on my first six months as President, I am deeply proud of the progress we have made together. At the heart of our mission remains a steadfast commitment to supporting MR radiographers and technologists worldwide, ensuring that grassroots education continues to thrive through our ISMRT Chapters and Divisions.
Expanding Our Global Reach
This commitment has been further strengthened by the formation of new ISMRT Chapters, broadening our international network and enabling us to deliver education and support directly to professionals in their local communities. These new chapters represent not only growth but also the passion and dedication of our members to advance MRI practice globally.
Education as Our Driving Force
Education continues to be our major focus:
- Safety Week was a resounding success, highlighting best practices and reinforcing our collective responsibility to patient care.
- Monthly Virtual Meetings remain a cornerstone of our educational offering, providing members with fresh opportunities to learn, share, and connect across borders.
- Local and National Chapter Meetings have been vibrant and well-attended, further strengthening grassroots engagement. The ANZ National Meeting in November was another highlight, proving highly successful and showcasing the strength of our community. Planning for the upcoming Safety Day is also well underway, promising another impactful initiative.
Preparing for Cape Town
Our AMPC Committee has been working tirelessly to organize the upcoming Annual Meeting in Cape Town, which will run from Saturday, 09 May to Monday, 11 May . This year’s format is designed to maximize engagement and learning, and it will run alongside the ISMRM meeting until 14 May. We look forward to welcoming you to what promises to be an inspiring and collaborative event.
Looking Ahead
The past six months have shown the strength of our community and the importance of grassroots education in advancing our profession. With new chapters, successful initiatives, and an exciting annual meeting ahead, I am confident that together we will continue to elevate the role of radiographers and technologists in MRI worldwide.
