The ISMRT Annual Meeting Program Committee has been diligently working to design a program that highlights both local innovations and global expertise. The 2026 ISMRT Annual Meeting in Cape Town, scheduled from Saturday 9th May to Monday 11th May, will feature eight dynamic forums. These include Innovations and Innovators in Africa, Forensics and Ethics, and Artificial Intelligence in MRI—key topics we are eager to spotlight. Additionally, the program will address widely relevant subjects such as Cardiac MR, Neuroimaging, Musculoskeletal MRI, and MR Safety. A special highlight will be the ISMRT/ISMRM joint forum, showcasing speakers from across the globe who will discuss MRI applications in under-resourced settings.

Please remember that the deadline for abstract submissions and ISMRT Annual Meeting stipend applications is fast approaching—both are due by 29th October 2025 at 23:59 UTC. I strongly encourage you to familiarise yourself with the new ECHO submission platform before the deadline. This meeting offers a unique opportunity to present your important work, connect with colleagues worldwide, and experience one of the most breathtaking locations ISMRM & ISMRT have ever convened in.
