Being a member of the ISMRM Iranian Chapter brings you the opportunity of:

  • Being involved in promoting MRI science and practice in Iran
  • Having access to the modern science and technology in Iran
  • Communicating with eminent researchers and scientists inside and outside of Iran
  • Profiting from advertising jobs and looking for appropriate careers with reduced costs
  • Being entitled to reduced registration fees in local symposiums, workshops and seminars
  • Investigating in activities which facilitate creating new horizons in the field of magnetic resonance imaging in medicine and biology, such as organizing study groups and educational courses

Membership Types

All applicants must submit a support letter from a current member of the chapter verifying their involvement in MR-related science, research or technology.

Regular Members

Membership of the Iranian chapter of ISMRM is not conditional on being a member of the parent society, ISMRM. However, to benefit from reduced registration fees in the Iranian Chapter Annual Meetings, national symposiums and workshops, participate in voting, be eligible to apply for Stipends for your students, you must be a Full Member of ISMRM.

The Iranian Chapter directors, the MR specialists, the company owners in MR-related technologies, and any individuals who hold Ph.D. degree or higher in the fields of medical physics, biomedical engineering, applied physics, applied mathematics, biochemistry, electrical engineering or any other relevant majors could apply to become a regular member of the ISMRM Iranian Chapter.

Non-Scientist/Society Affiliate Member

Applicants must be MR technologist/radiographer or hold a B.Sc. or M.Sc. degree in the fields of imaging technology, medical physics, biomedical engineering, applied physics, applied mathematics, biochemistry, electrical engineering or any other relevant majors.

Trainee Member

Any student enrolled in an MR-related field of study or research (in undergraduate, postgraduate or M.D. levels) could apply to become a trainee member of the ISMRM Iranian Chapter. The student members whose supervisors are a Regular Member of the parent ISMRM and the Iranian Chapter, will be eligible to apply for Student Stipends for presenting their works in the Iranian Chapter Annual Meetings, local symposiums, workshops, or seminars. To apply for this membership, the students must submit a verification letter (or their current student ID) on behalf of their institution including the expected graduation date.

Eligibility for this category must be verified annually.

Honorary Member

The purpose of identifying the Honorary Membership category is to acknowledge those individuals who have extraordinary international contributions to the field of MR science and technology in medicine and biology, or those who have served to promote the aims of the Iranian Chapter are offered to become an Honorary Member of the Iranian Chapter of the ISMRM. Those who hold the title of Honorary Member shall receive lifetime membership to the ISMRM Iranian Chapter and registration to the Iranian Chapter Annual Meetings.

Membership Fees

To become a member of the Iranian Chapter of ISMRM or renew your membership, please fill out the membership application form and email it to us along with a support letter (and a verification letter for the Trainee Members) via ismrm.iranianchapter@gmail.com. All applicants must submit a support letter from a current member of the chapter verifying their involvement in MR-related science, research or technology.
