Chapter Biography
The ISMRT Nepalese Chapter, established in 2025 in the laps of the majestic Himalayas, is dedicated to advancing MRI education and practice across Nepal. MRI has become a crucial modality in modern healthcare, yet access to specialized training and resources remains limited in many parts of our region. Our chapter was created to bridge this gap by supporting radiographers, and technologists with high-quality educational opportunities and professional development.
We are a community of passionate MRI practitioners and educators from Nepal who believe that improved knowledge directly translates into better patient outcomes. By fostering collaboration, hosting workshops, webinars, and networking events, we aim to empower our members to stay current with evolving MRI technologies and safety standards. The ISMRT Nepalese Chapter stands as a unique platform to amplify regional voices within the global ISMRT network, ensuring that Nepal contributes meaningfully to the worldwide advancement of MRI.

Who We Are
The ISMRT Nepalese Chapter is the first of its kind in Nepal, founded in 2025 to represent MRI radiographers and technologists from the Himalayan region. What makes our chapter unique in the ISMRT community is our mission to bring advanced MRI knowledge and training to a region where access to specialized resources has historically been limited. Located at the cusp of the Himalayas, MRI is still a new term even in the urban hospitals. By combining local expertise with ISMRT’s international network, we strive to inspire collaboration, foster professional growth, and strengthen MRI education in a part of the world where it is most needed.
Our Mission
The primary goal of the ISMRT Nepalese Chapter is to bridge the gap between limited regional resources and international advancements in MRI, ensuring that MRI professionals in Nepal can deliver safe, high-quality imaging to patients in even the most remote and high-altitude areas. Through education and community engagement, we strive to transform these geographic and resource-based challenges into opportunities for growth, resilience, and innovation.
