The ISMRM is proud to offer these stipend programs for the upcoming 2023 ISMRM & ISMRT Annual Meeting & Exhibition. Please review each of the following stipend programs carefully before deciding which to pursue.
Important Notes:
- Each program has a unique set of rules and eligibility requirements which must be met in order to be considered for a stipend award.
- Applicants may only apply to one program per year. If an applicant applies for more than one program in a single year, all applications will be disqualified.
- ISMRM membership is required before application for most stipend programs.
- Online application is required. Online application is located in the abstract submission site.
- ISMRM membership is required to apply for a stipend under the Educational, New Entrant and E.K. Zavoisky programs.
- New for 2023: The deadline for membership is 31 December 2022.
2023 membership applications and dues payment options will be available starting 02 December 2022.

- If a stipend is granted to a qualified applicant, a check will be made out or funds will be electronically transferred only to the applicant and not the applicant’s institution or supervisor.

2023 membership is required for most stipends.
Stipend applicants MUST join or pay 2023 dues by 31 December 2022 at 23:59 UTC. Failure to do so will result in your stipend application being denied.
2023 new member applications and dues payment options will be available beginning 02 December 2022. Please contact membership@ismrm.org if you have any questions.
This program offers support for the attendance of junior clinical faculty to present abstracts at the 2023 ISMRM Annual Meeting & Exhibition. Those applicants who are first authors on the abstract will be given priority.
Note: If you have received three prior stipends in the New Entrant, Clinical and/or Educational Stipend categories combined, you are not eligible to apply for this stipend again.
for Students, Postdoctoral Trainees and Clinical Trainees
This program offers support for the attendance of students, postdoctoral and clinical trainees to present abstracts at the 2023 ISMRM Annual Meeting & Exhibition. Those applicants who are first authors on the abstract will be given priority.
2023 ISMRM membership is required by the deadline at the top of this page. If you are not a member, you will need to complete the membership application process on or before that deadline in order to be considered for an educational stipend. Current members will need to pay their 2023 membership dues by the same deadline.
Note: If you have received three prior stipends in the New Entrant, Clinical and/or Educational Stipend categories combined, you are not eligible to apply for this stipend again.
This program offers support for the attendance of scientists and clinicians who reside in financially restricted countries and who have limited personal income to attend the 2023 ISMRM Annual Meeting & Exhibition. The program is named in honor of E.K. Zavoisky, pioneer in MR research from the former USSR. Those applicants who are first authors on the abstract will be given priority. If an applicant has received more than two (2) E. K. Zavoisky stipends to date, the applicant should be the senior or first author of an accepted abstract in order to receive any further Zavoisky awards.

Current members will need to pay their 2023 membership dues by the same deadline.
This program offers support for the attendance of students, trainees, or researchers who are new to the field and might not be funded under the main educational stipend program to attend the 2023 ISMRM Annual Meeting & Exhibition.
