Call for 2024 ISMRM Gold Medal Award Nominations

For a complete listing of past Society Award Winners, please click here.

Dear Friends,

As you know, earlier this year, we put out a call for Fellow and Gold Medal nominations.  The latter is our top-most award, and we recognize the time-commitment needed to compile a strong set of recommendation letters. As the deadline fell during what was the summer vacation period for a lot of our members, we have decided to extend the deadline for Gold Medal nominations to 1st December.

As always, we are keen to recognize the diversity in our membership and encourage you all, if you have not done so already, to promote deserving candidates for this prestigious award.

Thank you very much for your support

The Awards Committee of the International Society for Magnetic Resonance in Medicine invites members of the Society to submit the names of potential nominees for the awards of the Society. The Awards Committee will recommend the names of potential Award winners to the Board of Trustees based on proposals received from the membership and its own suggestions.  Awards will be bestowed at the ISMRM & ISMRT Annual Meeting & Exhibition to be held in Singapore, 04-09 May 2024.

Please note, nominations are only accepted online. Access provided below.
Google Scholar citations are preferred over Web of Science.

Gold Medal

This medal is awarded to recognize a major research contribution to the field of magnetic resonance within the scope of the Society. Proposals must include a statement of nomination detailing the 5 to 10 most important publications of which the nominee is an author, the names and email addresses of at least two ISMRM members willing to second the nomination, and the curriculum vitae of the candidate.
Please limit the number of letters supporting the nomination to a maximum of three (3).

All nominations should be submitted online by 01 December 2023 at 23:59 UTC, 15 days in advance of the deadline set by the Bylaws in order to ensure that the Awards Committee has not only received a sufficient number and breadth of nominees but has time to ensure all supporting materials are received. It would also be appreciated if those nominating could append a citation profile of the nominee (Google Scholar citation profile requested).

To nominate an ISMRM member for the Gold Medal, please follow the instructions, using the online form provided below.
