Deadline for Nominations:
The Awards Committee of the International Society for Magnetic Resonance in Medicine invites members of the Society to submit the names of potential nominees for the awards of the Society. The Awards Committee will recommend the names of potential Award winners to the Board of Trustees based on proposals received from the membership and its own suggestions. Awards will be bestowed at the ISMRM & ISMRT Annual Meeting & Exhibition to be held in Cape Town, South Africa, 09-14 May 2026.

Gold Medal
This medal is awarded to recognize a major research contribution to the field of magnetic resonance within the scope of the Society. Proposals must include a statement of nomination detailing the 5 to 10 most important publications of which the nominee is an author, the names and email addresses of two ISMRM members willing to second the nomination, and the curriculum vitae of the candidate.
Please limit the number of letters supporting the nomination to a maximum of two (2).
Distinguished Service Award
This medal is awarded for outstanding contributions to the operation, effectiveness, or good reputation of the Society. Proposals must include a statement of nomination detailing specific contributions of the nominee, the names and email addresses of two ISMRM members willing to second the nomination, and the curriculum vitae of the candidate.
Please limit the number of letters supporting the nomination to a maximum of two (2).
Fellow of the Society
This distinction is conferred on those who have made a significant and substantial contribution to research in a field within the Society’s purposes, who have contributed in a significant manner to the development of the Society and/or any of the Predecessor Societies, and/or who have made a significant contribution to education in MR. Nominations for those who contributed to the field in its clinical or scientific development are encouraged. Proposals must include a statement of nomination detailing specific contributions of the nominee, the names and email addresses of two ISMRM members willing to second the nomination, and the curriculum vitae of the candidate.
Please limit the number of letters supporting the nomination to a maximum of two (2).
All nominations and supporting letters must be submitted online by 15 August 2025 at 23:59 UTC to ensure that the Awards Committee has not only received a sufficient number and breadth of nominees but has time to ensure all supporting materials are received. It would also be appreciated if those nominating could append a citation profile of the nominee (Google Scholar profiles preferred).
