Mentor Speed Dating

The pandemic has taken its toll on networking opportunities for junior trainees through the cancellation and online reformatting of many conferences. Many labs may have also experienced reduced recruitment channels as a result. The Mentor Speed Dating session hopes to alleviate some of this lost time by directly connecting scholars at different career stages with shared research interests.
Junior trainees and prospective mentors can register to participate by filling out their information on the following forms:
Before registering, please ensure that you are available to attend the session IN-PERSON on Monday, 09 May, 17:00 to 17:45.
Trainees will be asked to rank variables in order of personal importance for mentor matching e.g. research, region of the world, gender, languages spoken. Although perfect matching cannot be guaranteed based on your chosen criteria, we will do our best to pair you with a suitable prospective mentor.
A week before: Each participant can expect to receive 2-4 matches along with specific meeting details for each match. Please feel free to research your matches ahead of time to get a general idea of their research background.
On Monday, 09 May, 17:00 to 17:45: Show up to the Resonarium and meet your ISMRM matches. Each meeting will run for approximately 5 minutes, after which, you will be asked to switch. Use this as a chance to connect with someone pursuing similar research, invite someone to see your talk or poster, meet a potential collaborator, or take it as a recruitment opportunity for the next stage of your career.
